Mount Pearl - As is always the case the team that scores the most goals wins the game and today Mount Pearl did that.
Both teams were evenly matched with St Lawrence having a slight play advantage and more of the better scoring chances. In the second half Holy Cross again was controlling the game with Feildians getting the occasional challenge into the Holy Cross end. The play started to get a little chippy and the referee was letting some of these infractions go. About 30 minutes into the second half Holy Cross were given 2 red cards. The cards were handed out to Jeremy Babstock and Chad Parsons, Jeremy's for pushing and Chad's for talking back to the referee. This changed the flow of the game and Feildians started to come on with the manpower advantage. With about 5 minutes to play in the half, Shane Antle broke away and was pulled down by Stephen Croft who was given a red card. Even though Feildians had more of the ball possession they couldn't really generate much in the way of scoring chances, but they did have one opportunity where on a cross into the box the chip shot hit the crossbar.
