Marystown & Mount Pearl

Marystown: Craig Edwards 12 min, Brian Francis 65 minutes,Johnny Pickett 56 & 61 minutes.

Mount Pearl: Jimmy Flemming 4 minutes` Team Goal 6 minutes.

The game was controlled by Marystown except for the first 10 minutes when Mount Pearl were competetive and scored two lucky goals. Ater that it was all Marystown. Craig Edwards scored at 12 minutes on a header off a corner kick. The first half ended 2 - 1 for Mount Pearl. The loss of Alec Turpin in the game proved that he was the main reason that Mount Pearl were competitive this year, without him they had no threat up front to score.

In the Second half Marystown continued to dominate and Johnny Pickett put Marystown ahead to stay with goals at 56 minutes and 61 minutes. Brian Francis completed the scoring on a penalty shot at 65 minutes. Marystown now advances to the final game on Sunday playing St. Lawrence.

St. Lawrence & Mount Pearl

Goal Scorers

St. Lawrence: Rudy Norman 49 & 52 minutes.

Mount Pearl: Chad Parsons 44 minutes.

The game was a fairly evenly played game with Mount Pearl Scoring in the final minute of the first half on a goal from a free kick where the ball was deflected off the wall around th 18 yard line, that Chad Parsons booted high that hit the underside of the bar and into the goal.

In the Second half St. Lawrence came out strong and Rudy Norman scored his first of two goals at 49 minutes on a shot from in close that deflected off a Mount Pearl defender eluding Gearld Connolly. Rudy Norman scored his second Goal at 52 minutes when he outran the Mount Pearl defenders and sent a wicked low drive past the goalkeeper. The play was fairly even for the remainer of the game. St. Lawrence now advances to the final game on Sunday

Marystown & Holy Cross

Marystown: Patrick Fewer 49 min, Brian Francis 52 min, Johnny Pickett 62 min.

Holy Cross: No Scoring.

The first half of play was close but Marystown had an advantage in the play and except for the play of Matthew Prim this game could have been decided in the first half. The score at half time was 0 - 0.

The second half was all Marystown and at 49 minutes Patrick Fewere scored off the rebound on a penalty shot. Brian Francis made the score 2 - 0 at 52 minutes and Johnny put the game away at 62 minutes. Scott Edwards had very little work to earn the shutout. Marystown will now play Mount Pearl in Marystown on Saturday to determine who will play St. Lawrence in the final game.
