John Phillips
John Phillips has been writing songs for almost fifteen years now and is becoming well known as a singer/songwriter in Atlantic Canada. His songs receive airplay throughout the region and he has been featured in numerous television programs, radio shows and the print media. Mark Vaughan-Jackson of The Telegram in St. John's says that he is one of the best songwriters the province of Newfoundland has produced and will surely finds his place in the rich musical annals of the province.
John has played every major folk festival in the province, and has been a continual force on the independent music scene. He has written songs that have been featured on highly successful compilation albums in the province and has been nominated for several Music Industry Association awards, namely; Country Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. He continues to write genuine heart felt songs and will continue to do so in the future.
