Terry Penney

Terry Penney is a singer/songwriter/storyteller from Newfoundland who has always presented a deep love of music, and presents his audience with his trademark thoughtful storytelling lyrics.

After receiving national radio airplay and cracking the Top 100 CanCountry Charts with “Midnight and the Moon” from second album Missing Marshville, Terry is poised to make an impact on the national scene. Terry released his first album, Take Back Two in 1999 and earned two Newfoundland and Labrador Music Industry Association Nominations - "Male Artist of the Year" and "Country Artist of the Year". Missing Marshville was released in 2002 and Terry received four Music Industry Association nominations for "SOCAN Songwriter of the Year" (single: "Midnight and the Moon"), "Album of the Year", "Male Artist of the Year" and "Country Artist of the Year". That year, he won "Male Artist of the Year". Terry was again nominated in 2004 in the "Male Artist" and "Country Artist" category and took home the award as
"Country Artist of the Year."

In 2003 Terry earned an East Coast Music Award (ECMA) nomination in the Country category. Terry has again been nominated in 2005 for the Country Artist of the Year by the ECMA for his newest CD
The Struggle.
